Seagreens - Arctic Fresh Sea Vegetables

About Seagreens

WHO WE ARE

Seagreens is the leading seaweed brand in Great Britain. Since it began in 1997, Seagreens Ltd pioneered a new standard of production of human food quality seaweed in Europe. Originally an Anglo-Swedish-Norwegian joint venture, today it is a British company with operations today in the USA, England, Scotland, Norway and Sweden.

Seagreens carried out the first food research on its wrack seaweeds in 2007 and set up a research foundation to continue this work in 2009.”

VISION

At the inauguration of Seagreens in the late 1990s, Simon B. Ranger, CEO of International Partnership, vocalized his vision of Seagreens as "an international brand of integrity to deliver goodness and value in all our relationships”, and went on to say “we want everyone to benefit from a teaspoonful of Seagreens in their daily diet so as to achieve a dietary foundation for today’s nutritionally challenged population.”

MISSION

Seagreens will continue to research and develop sustainable products with a message for consumers, health care practitioners, other manufacturers in the health and food sectors, and with application elsewhere in the food chain. Each of the products promotes balance in everyday life and makes it easier than ever to include the most nutritious seaweed in an ordinary daily diet. The company fosters educated partnerships in all aspects of its business to further these aims.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO GOOD CAUSES

Seagreens contributes more than 10% of its manufacturing output to those less fortunate. These include low-income consumers in healthcare; homeless people in Scotland; an outreach clinic in a deprived urban setting in England; children affected by radiation in the Ukraine; and malnourished women with children in and around Moscow. The company does not inflate its prices to pay for these activities.

  • Funding and Seagreens products to The Children's Clinic at The Dolphin House Trust in the UK.
  • Seagreens to children in the Ukraine whose families were affected by radiation from Chernobyl, through UK charity The Dandelion Trust.
  • Seagreens Food Capsules to 3000 malnourished women with children in and around Moscow through an outreach of the Russian Orthodox church.

WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE COMMON GOOD

Seagreens are also keen to obtain research assistance and sponsorship especially in autistic spectrum disorders, hyperactivity, inflammatory disorders, neurological degenerative disorders, metabolic disorders and other areas where there is already good research and anecdotal evidence for the efficacy of Seagreens products.
