1). What are Seagreens?
Seagreens is a completely natural and outstandingly balanced food containing
virtually all the different nutrients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids,
essential fatty acids) in the most natural proportion as required by
the human body. Seagreens is a unique food and should be used as the
foundation for the daily diet, an assurance of continuous nutritional
balance.

2). Who needs Seagreens?
Everybody does! The nutritional value of our food is in steep decline.
One of the key arguments is that today’s agriculture does not
allow soil to enrich itself. It depends on chemical fertilizers that
don’t replace the wide variety of nutrients that plants and humans
need.

4). Where does Seagreens
come from?
Seagreens are sustainably harvested, without harm to the marine environment,
from three seaweeds found on remote conservation islands some 60 miles
off the Arctic coast of Norway. The seaweeds are typically 3-4 years
old when harvested from the Arctic Ocean’s crystal clear waters
with no storm-cast, floating or ‘root’ seaweed used. The
concentrations of nutrients in Seagreens seaweeds benefit from 24 hour-a-day
sunlight when they are harvested between the months of June to August.

5). Why is this seaweed
from the Arctic Ocean so special?
Of all the seaweeds in the oceans and lakes, the brown seaweeds from
the ocean are the most nutritious. Seagreens wild Arctic ‘wrack’
seaweed has an outstanding breadth and balance of nutrients that cannot
be recreated artificially, and it comes from the unpolluted, crystal
clear waters of the Arctic Ocean.

6). Seaweed – doesn’t
that taste and smell yucky?
Seagreens has a very mild nutty taste, and a gentle scent of the ocean.
There is no after taste when consuming capsules with liquid. Using granules
in cooking sometimes brings out the flavour of other ingredients.

7). What’s different
about Seagreens compared to other algae products?
Seagreens is truly a gift from nature and delivers just about every
kind of nutrient (vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber) including nutrients
missing from land vegetables in significant, balanced amounts. Other
kinds of seaweeds provide widely different nutritional profiles which
may include excessive amounts of iodine. Wheatgrass, spirulina, chlorella
and blue-green algae are land vegetables (fresh water algae) and do
not have the same broad, balanced nutritional profile as Seagreens.
Kelp is a deep-water seaweed, it is not organic and may contain excessive
metals (minerals). It is often dredged (including roots and sand) and
may include floating (not fresh) laminaria.

8). Is it OK to take other
nutritional supplements with Seagreens?
The quick answer is yes - Seagreens are a natural, multi-nutrient
whole food, entirely compatible with other foods and supplements. Additional
supplements, or wherever possible, natural whole foods, may be required
to enhance specific aspects of health or make up for a specific, known
deficiency in a particular nutrient or group of nutrients.

9). What medical proof do
you base your claims on?
Since 1998 we have collected more than 100 medical and scientific references
of the three brown seaweeds used in Seagreens plus many testimonials
from Healthcare Professionals and users.

10). Are there any additives
in Seagreens
Absolutely not. Seagreens is pure as nature intended.
[Top]
11). I have allergies;
will Seagreens give me a problem?
Since Seagreens’ introduction in 1998, there have been no reported
instances of an allergenic substances being found in Seagreens.

12). Why is Seagreens
better for you compared to synthesised multivitamins?
Synthesised, artificial formulations are not natural foods like Seagreens.
They typically contain larger amounts of a narrower range of nutrients
(normally less than 30), varying considerably between brands. Many of
the nutrients in these formulations are large molecule synthetics and
barely digestible. Because they are excessive and incomplete, they can
imbalance the body’s nutritional profile. Having said this, where
there is a proven need for a particular nutrient or group of nutrients
such as vitamin C or the B-group, high quality supplements are to be
recommended as a short-term boost to complement Seagreens prolonged
daily intake. Seagreens is a unique food and should be used as the foundation
of the daily diet, an assurance of continuous nutritional balance.

13). Is Seagreens safe?
Seagreens is a pure food product, not a formulated drug or synthesised
supplement. Since Seagreens first became available in 1998, there have
been no reported side-effects of taking Seagreens other than the beneficial
effects of detoxing.

14). How come I’ve
never heard of Seagreens before?
Seagreens were introduced into Europe in 1998 and are now only becoming
available in North America.

15). How do I take Seagreens
and when do I take it?
Seagreens Food Capsules can be taken with liquid, ideally in the
morning and with food, especially carbohydrates. Taking Seagreens early
in the day will act as a foundation to assist in the metabolism of other
meals during the day. The important thing is to take them regularly,
and on a prolonged and preferably a permanent basis. The beneficial
effects are gently gradual and homeostatic, not instant or pronounced
as for example, with modern drugs.

16). Will Seagreens help
me regulate my weight and reduce cellulite?
Our view is that Seagreens may be helpful as a daily nutritional
aid within a dietary improvement and exercise programme to regulate
or reduce body weight and fat, for which there seems to be substantial
anecdotal evidence.

17). Is Seagreens certified
organic?
Seagreens is produced and processed to EC Demeter (International Biodynamic
Agricultural Association) and satisfies the requirements of the Soil
Association for Organic Farming & Production and Regulation for
Certified Products. There are numerous other approvals listed on this
website.

certified?

of the Kashruth Division of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations
of America.

20). Can I include Seagreens
granules in recipes?
Of course. We are currently compiling a book of recipes, submitted by
our users, where Seagreens is used to improve the nutritional value
of their meals. These include stews, soups, salads and curries. Others
include Seagreens in their baking.

21). Can I use Seagreens
granules in my children’s meals?
Most definitely! Even chicken nuggets, pasta, pizzas, hamburgers and
‘french fries’ can be turned into highly nutritious foods.
Adding a quarter teaspoon of granules, per child, per day, not only
provides virtually all the nutrients they’ll need but it helps
their food to be digested more thoroughly, meaning better nutrient absorption.
And it is perfectly safe for them to take the Food Capsules (one daily
is quite sufficient) so long as they find no difficulty in swallowing
the capsule. In her book ‘The Organic Baby Book’ published
1999, author Taniya Maxted-Frost says “the contents (of one Seagreens
Food Capsule) can even be sprinkled onto infants’ weaning foods
from six to eight months”.

22.) Why does my pet need
a supplement?
Recent studies have shown processed foods to be a factor in increasing
the numbers of pets suffering from cancer, arthritis, obesity, dental
disease, and heart disease. Our pets suffer nutrient imbalance, micronutrient
and mineral deficiencies and metabolic disorders because of the poor
quality of pet feed formulation.
One of the essential requirements of all living organisms is the need
to be able to metabolise and easily absorb food compounds. If the metabolism
breaks down all other bodily activities will soon come to a standstill.
Seagreens new Pet Granules, are easily
digested natural organic seaweed granules which help balance your pet’s
nutritional profile, regulating its metabolism and strengthening its
immunity to disease and infection.
