Seagreens vs. "Superfoods"How does Seagreens compare with ‘superfoods’?Their ocean origin provides Seagreens with a uniquely broad spectrum of nutrients found in no other natural food. They extend the spectrum of micronutrients some 30% over land or fresh-water plants. Most popular superfoods are farmed on land, in natural and artificial lakes and in water tanks; they have neither the breadth nor the balanced proportions of nutrients found in ocean grown wild Arctic Wrack seaweed. While many nutrients are present in both land and ocean vegetables, the fresh water algæ reflect the same phytonutrient deficiencies, and have significantly different amounts which vary widely according to source and brand, from zero to more than 1000% the RDA for some nutrients. For example blue-green algæ, particularly from the high altitude lake source in Oregon, USA, has very high levels of some nutrients and a complete absence of others. The balance and relationship of the phytonutrients in Seagreens show no such variations or extremes. |
